Harvard, Stanford and the University of Cambridge have always been my dream schools due to their very strong research emphasis in the courses they teach. Given the extremely low admission rates for these top Universities, especially for applicants from Malaysia, I was hoping that I would be accepted by just one of these universities. […] So, being accepted by these three top universities in the world was way beyond what I could have possibly imagined.

This year’s 2016 Rio Olympics, the first ever to be hosted in a South American city, has itself been host to a number of apocalyptic-esque catastrophes. Suffering great economic instability with its worst recession in 25 years, political turmoil from a corruption scandal and subsequent impeachment of their president, not to mention public health risks from a sudden outbreak of the Zika virus; Brazil has had a pretty tough break.

Forging the Next Generation of World-changers
In the 21st century learning, it is pivotal for educators to shape the current generation of students into becoming world-changers. The concept of forging “Global citizens” is already at the heart of our school ethos. However, this term does not capture the full scope and urgency of the role that the current generation of children will have to take on as they come of age.
